Teatro Pérez Galdós

"The Vortek rigging system has enabled us to optimize the time between setup and production, making the best use of the technical crew since it does not require as much personnel as the traditional counterweight system. Many other advantages like IP remote access for maintenance, dynamic load control, easy and friendliness of use, etc. make this system the first and best option to consider."

"If I had my way, our manual system would have been gone a long time ago. Now Vortek is bringing us into the 21st century — and I could not be happier. It is so easy to engineer into spaces that were built 50 years ago or more — the adaptability of it is wonderful, and the design is brilliant. It is a laborsaving system, but it also allows you to do more things. With the way that theater has changed — now we are flying in helicopters and dropping chandeliers over the audience — we can have people doing what they are trained to do, instead of all that silly stuff with loading weights and pulling ropes. Vortek gives us the tools to do the job right."

Wells Fargo Pavilion

"We looked at traditional motorized rigging, but none of it matched the tons of features that Vortek offered. It was especially attractive to us because it is self-contained, compact and battens can travel at high speeds. The lifting capacity is great. Now, with 27 motorized battens controlled by Vortek, one look will tell you we never could have achieved what we did without Vortek. Traditional theater rigging would have never met our creative needs. We needed a rigging system that offered stability in the case of earthquakes. A counterweight system could become unbalanced and dump scenery and weights on the stage floor during an earthquake — and that is not a tolerable situation."

Eastman Theatre

"The important improvements [to the Eastman Theatre], both with the orchestra shell and extensive backstage upgrades, make the RPO and Eastman performers look and sound our best."

Teatro Solis

"The Vortek System was a wonderful addition to our National Theater renovation project. The system works nicely, and we are hoping to purchase an additional 42 Vorteks to go with the existing 38 units currently in use at Teatro Solis. During design, we prepared the theatre for 80 Vortek units."

Lake Community Complex

"No comparison between Vortek and the antiquated counterweighted balance system that was originally designed. The Lake Local project had already been bid and was in the early stages of construction. We redesigned the stage house to lower the roof as Vortek does not need the tremendous heights needed for counter-weighted systems. We used savings generated by building reductions to offset the cost of the Vortek system."
